Our prize for the best name of the week

Julie's Bicycle logoThe CO3 award goes to the wonderfully named Julie’s Bicycle .

We’re a fan of cross-industry CSR initiatives and have worked, in the past, with one of the best known ones. This, however, has a more formal name and is known as the International Council on Mining and Metals or ICMM to their friends.

We discovered Julie’s Bicycle thanks to a new friend I made at a BBC World Service Trust event last night. The (presumably solar powered) lamps on Julie’s Bicycle are focused on climate change and green issues relating to the music industry. We found this idea rather interesting as rock band tours and festivals are legendary for their levels of excess.

We wish the organisation every success and will be watching its activities with some interest.
